How to use product tags on shop.vyete.com to improve discoverability in search and filtering.

Product tags are keywords you attach to a product to improve how it appears in search results and category filters on vyete.com. Each product supports up to 10 tags.

Steps

Open a product in Inventory

Navigate to /sale-spaces, open the relevant space's Products tab, and click on the product you want to tag.

Find the Tags field

Scroll to the Tags section of the product edit form. You'll see a tag input field where you can type and add tags one at a time.

Add relevant tags

Type a tag and press Enter or click Add to add it to the product. Use specific, descriptive terms that customers are likely to search for — for example, "ankara", "size-xl", "handmade", "gift-idea", "organic".

Remove tags if needed

Click the × next to any tag to remove it. You can have a maximum of 10 tags per product. Remove less relevant tags to make room for better ones.

Save the product

Click Save when you're done. Tags are indexed by the search service immediately and your product will appear in relevant filtered searches.

Tip

Think about what words customers would type when looking for your product. Include material, style, size range, use case, and occasion (e.g., "wedding", "casual", "office") to reach the widest relevant audience.

Note

Tags are used by the Vyete search service (running on port 9103) for full-text and filtered search. Products with more relevant tags surface more often in search results.

Common questions

Q: Are tags the same as the product category?

A: No. The category is a top-level classification used for navigation (e.g., Fashion, Electronics). Tags are additional keywords that describe specific attributes of your product and are used for fine-grained search filtering.

Q: Do tags affect my product's ranking in search?

A: Yes. Products whose tags closely match a customer's search query are ranked higher in results. Accurate, relevant tags improve your product's visibility to customers actively searching for what you sell.
