Managing Disputes
How to view and close disputes raised against your brand's auctions and event bookings on Vyete.
Note
Vyete doesn't process payment for auctions or event tickets, so a dispute is a visibility record against your brand, not a refund mechanism. Close it once you've settled directly with the buyer or attendee.
Steps
Open Disputes
Go to Disputes in your brand dashboard sidebar.
Switch between Auctions and Events
Use the two tabs to view disputes raised on auction sales separately from disputes raised on event bookings.
Find the dispute
Each row shows the auction or booking, the reason given, its status (Open or Closed), and when it was raised.
Resolve it directly
Settle the issue with the buyer or attendee first, whether that's a refund, a replacement, or an explanation.
Close the dispute
Optionally add a resolution note, then tap Close.
Tip
An event-booking dispute can also be closed directly from that booking's own page, see Creating events and managing bookings.
Common questions
Q: Does closing a dispute refund the buyer?
A: No. Any refund needs to be handled directly between you and the buyer or attendee, the same way you originally received payment.
Q: Which disputes show up under Auctions versus Events?
A: Auctions covers disputes raised on auction sales; Events covers disputes raised on event ticket bookings. Each is managed the same way, just on separate tabs.
