Audience Targeting and Advert Performance

Brand3 min

How to set up audience targeting for your Vyete campaigns and read your advert performance stats.

Getting your adverts in front of the right people on Vyete is controlled by audience targeting settings on the campaign. Once your adverts are running, performance stats show you how they are doing in real time.

Campaign objectives

When creating a campaign, you choose an objective that tells Vyete what outcome you are optimising for. Choose the one that best matches your goal:

| Objective | What it does | |---|---| | Awareness | Maximises reach — show your brand to as many relevant users as possible. Best for new brands or product launches. | | Conversion | Targets users most likely to take a specific action (buy, sign up, contact). Best for direct response goals. | | Engagement | Targets users who tend to interact — likes, saves, and clicks. Best for building an active community around your brand. | | Retargeting | Shows ads to users who have already interacted with your brand on Vyete. Best for re-engaging warm audiences. | | Traffic | Drives clicks to a destination — your website, a product page, or an external resource. Best for sending users off-platform. |

Audience settings

Audience settings are configured at the campaign level and apply to all adverts in that campaign.

Age range

Set a minimum and maximum age range for your target audience (e.g. 18–35). Leave blank to target all age groups.

Gender

Target Male, Female, or leave unset to target all genders.

Interests

Select interest categories that match your target customers. Vyete matches these against the category preferences users have set in their accounts. Selecting more specific interests narrows your reach but increases relevance.

Device type

Specify whether to show adverts on Mobile, Desktop, or both. Leave unset to target all devices.

Tip

For a new campaign, start with broad targeting and narrow it down over time based on your performance data. Over-targeting too early can limit your reach unnecessarily.

Reading your advert performance stats

Performance data is available per advert in your campaign dashboard at brand.vyete.com. Open any active campaign and tap an advert to see its stats:

| Metric | What it means | |---|---| | Impressions | Total number of times your advert was shown to users. | | Clicks | Number of times users tapped your call to action. | | Click-through rate (CTR) | Clicks divided by impressions, shown as a percentage. A higher CTR means your creative and targeting are resonating. | | Conversions | Users who completed the intended action after clicking (e.g. made a purchase, signed up). Requires conversion tracking to be set up. | | Conversion rate | Conversions divided by clicks, shown as a percentage. | | Engagement rate | A combined measure of interactions (clicks, saves, shares) relative to impressions. | | Expense | Total amount spent by this advert so far, drawn from the campaign budget. |

Note

Stats are updated periodically, not in real time. Allow a few hours for new data to appear after an advert goes live.

Interpreting your results

  • Low impressions with good CTR — your creative is compelling but your audience is too narrow. Consider broadening interests or age range.
  • High impressions with low CTR — your creative or call to action may need updating. Try a different headline, image, or CTA label.
  • High CTR but low conversions — users are clicking but not completing the action. Review your destination link — make sure the landing page is relevant and the conversion path is clear.

Common questions

Q: Can I change the audience settings after a campaign has gone live?

A: Campaign audience settings can be updated while a campaign is active. Changes take effect on new advert impressions from that point forward — historical data is not affected.

Q: My campaign objective is Awareness but I still see conversion data — why?

A: Vyete tracks conversions across all campaigns where a user clicks through, regardless of the stated objective. The objective affects how Vyete optimises delivery, not which stats are recorded.

Q: How much does it cost to run a campaign?

A: Costs are determined by your campaign budget settings. See your campaign's billing section or contact Vyete for pricing details.
