How to manage who can follow you, who can message you, and what activity is visible to others on vyete.com.

Vyete gives you direct control over who can follow you, who can send you direct messages, and what activity others can see on your profile — all from the Privacy tab in your settings.

Opening Privacy settings

Go to Settings

On vyete.com, tap your profile avatar (top right) and select Settings, or navigate directly to /settings.

Open the Privacy tab

Tap the Privacy tab at the top of the Settings screen.

Follow gating

Controls who is allowed to follow your profile:

  • Everyone — Anyone on Vyete can follow you without approval.
  • Require approval — Follow requests are held in a queue and you approve or decline each one manually.

Direct message permissions

Controls who can send you direct messages:

  • Everyone — Any Vyete user can message you.
  • Accounts I follow — Only people you follow can start a conversation with you.
  • No one — Direct messages are disabled entirely.

Activity visibility

Controls whether your activity is visible on your public profile:

When enabled, other users may see things like products you have recently liked, shops or brands you follow, and general engagement activity. When disabled, this activity is hidden from your profile — only you can see it.

Note

Activity visibility only affects what appears on your public profile. Your order history, payment details, and private messages are never visible to other users regardless of this setting.

Common questions

Q: If I switch to follow approval, do existing followers stay?

A: Yes. Switching to approval mode only affects new follow requests going forward. Your current followers are not affected.

Q: Can I block a specific user rather than restricting everyone?

A: Yes. Visit a user's profile and tap the options menu to block them. A blocked user cannot see your profile, follow you, or message you, regardless of your general privacy settings.

Q: Where do I manage my password, two-factor authentication, and email address?

A: These are managed at id.vyete.com — the central identity hub for all Vyete apps. From your Settings screen on vyete.com, tap the Account tab for direct links.
