Report a Failed Delivery

Carrier2 min

How to report a delivery you were unable to complete on Vyete Ferry, and what happens next.

If you arrive at the delivery address and cannot complete the handoff — for example, the customer is unreachable — you must report the issue through the Ferry app. The delivery is then marked FAILED and both the shop and customer are notified automatically.

Steps

Attempt to reach the customer

Before reporting a failure, make a genuine attempt to contact the customer. Use the in-app call or message button on the active delivery screen to reach them directly.

Tap Report Issue

If the customer is unreachable after a reasonable wait, tap Report Issue on the active delivery screen.

Select the failure reason

Choose the appropriate reason from the list — for example: Customer unreachable, Wrong address, Customer refused delivery, or Access denied. Add a note with any additional details.

Submit the report

Tap Submit. The delivery status changes to FAILED. Both the shop and the customer are notified automatically. You will receive guidance on whether to return the order to the shop.

Note

Partial earnings may still apply for a failed delivery, depending on the distance travelled and the reason for failure. Check your Earnings tab for the credit after the report is reviewed.

Warning

Do not abandon an order without submitting a failure report. Unresolved active deliveries negatively affect your reliability score and may delay your earnings for the period.

Common questions

Q: Do I have to return the order to the shop after a failed delivery?

A: In most cases, yes — you'll be instructed to return the order to the shop. Follow the guidance shown in the Ferry app after you submit the failure report.

Q: Will a failed delivery affect my earnings?

A: Partial earnings may be credited for the distance covered. The exact amount depends on the failure reason and the platform's partial-earnings policy for your zone. Full delivery pay is only credited for successfully DELIVERED jobs.
