Discovering and Following Brands
How to find new brands and shops on Vyete and follow them so their posts, events, and polls show up in your feed.
Vyete is built around following brands and shops directly, rather than an algorithm deciding everything you see. Following is what puts a brand's posts, events, and polls in front of you.
Finding brands to follow
Browse Products, Shops, Services, or any content page (Posts, Events, Polls, Auctions), and look for the Brands section in the sidebar. This surfaces brands relevant to what you're browsing, whether or not you already follow them.
You can also open Discover to preview what's on the platform before signing in, though following a brand itself requires a free account.
Steps
Find a brand
Look for a brand card in the Brands sidebar section, or open a brand's profile directly from one of their posts, products, or events.
Tap Follow
Tap the Follow button on the brand's card or profile. It switches to Following immediately.
Check your feed
Head to the Feed tab. New posts, events, and polls from brands you follow will start appearing there.
Note
The Feed isn't limited strictly to brands you follow: it also mixes in recommended content based on your interests and activity. See Understanding your feed for how the Feed, Auctions, and Live tabs are organised.
Common questions
Q: How do I unfollow a brand?
A: Tap Following on their profile or card again to switch it back to Follow.
Q: Does following a brand cost anything?
A: No. Following is always free, whatever the brand's own products or plans are.
Q: Will I miss content from a brand I follow if I don't check the app often?
A: No, their posts, events, and polls stay in your feed until you scroll past them; nothing expires or disappears just because you weren't online when it was posted.
