Payment Methods

Vyete supports three payment methods at checkout: card, mobile money, and cash on delivery. You select your preferred method on the checkout screen before placing your order.

Steps

Add items and proceed to checkout

Browse shops on vyete.com and add items to your cart. When you're ready, tap Checkout from your cart screen.

Choose CARD

Select Card to pay with a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card. Enter your card number, expiry date, and CVV. Your card details are securely processed and not stored on Vyete's servers.

Choose MOBILE_MONEY

Select Mobile Money to pay via M-Pesa, Airtel Money, or another supported mobile money provider. Enter the mobile number linked to your wallet. You'll receive a payment prompt on your phone to authorise the transaction with your PIN.

Choose CASH_ON_DELIVERY

Select Cash on Delivery to pay the courier in cash when your order arrives. The exact amount due is shown at checkout. Have the correct amount ready — couriers do not always carry change.

Place your order

After selecting your payment method and confirming your delivery address, tap Place Order to complete checkout.

Tip

Mobile Money payments are processed instantly and give you real-time confirmation. They are the fastest way to confirm your order.

Note

Cash on Delivery orders cannot be refunded automatically if cancelled after the courier has already been dispatched. Cancel early to avoid complications.

Common questions

Q: Can I change my payment method after placing an order?

A: No. Once an order is placed, the payment method is fixed. If you need to change it, cancel the order (only possible before Shop Confirmed) and place a new order with the preferred method.

Q: Are my card details saved for future orders?

A: Card details entered at checkout are used for that transaction only. Saving cards for future use may be available depending on your account settings.
