Raising a Dispute
How to raise a dispute on an order, event booking, service booking, or auction if something didn't go as expected on Vyete.
Vyete doesn't process or hold payment for orders, event tickets, service bookings, or auctions: you and the seller settle directly. If something goes wrong, raising a dispute gives both sides (and, where needed, Vyete) visibility into what happened. It's a record of the disagreement, not a refund from Vyete, since Vyete never held the money to refund.
Steps
Open the order, booking, or event
Go to MyHub and open the order, booking, or event in question. For an order, this is at MyHub > Orders.
Confirm whether it arrived as expected
Once an order shows as delivered (or a booking/event has passed), you'll see "Did this arrive as expected?" with Yes and Not satisfied options.
Raise the dispute
Tap Raise a dispute. A text box opens asking what went wrong, for example "item never arrived," "wrong item," or "damaged."
Submit
Tap Submit dispute. The item now shows "Dispute raised" along with its current status, so you can track it without needing to follow up separately.
Note
This same pattern (raise a dispute, then track its status) works identically for orders, event bookings, practice bookings, and auctions, just from each one's own page.
Common questions
Q: Will I get my money back if I win a dispute?
A: Not automatically from Vyete. Since Vyete never processed or held the payment, it can't issue a refund on the seller's behalf. A dispute gives the seller (and Vyete, where relevant) visibility into the problem so it can be resolved directly between you and them.
Q: Can I cancel a dispute once I've raised it?
A: Contact support if you raised a dispute in error or the issue has been resolved directly with the seller, so the record can be closed out.
Q: What should I write in the dispute reason?
A: Be specific: what you expected, what actually happened, and any details that would help the seller understand the issue quickly.
