Cancel an Order

You can cancel an order on vyete.com as long as the shop has not yet confirmed it. Once the shop confirms your order, cancellation is no longer available from the app.

Steps

Open myhub

Tap the myhub tab in the bottom navigation on vyete.com to access your personal hub.

Go to Orders

Tap Orders to see your active and recent orders. Your order will show the current status — you can only cancel while it shows Order Placed.

Open the order detail

Tap the order you want to cancel to open the order detail screen.

Tap Cancel Order

If the order is still in the Order Placed status (before the shop has confirmed it), a Cancel Order button is visible at the bottom of the screen. Tap it to proceed.

Confirm the cancellation

A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the cancellation to submit the CancelOrder request. The order status will update to Cancelled immediately.

Await your refund

If you paid by card or mobile money, a refund will be initiated automatically to your original payment method. Refunds typically take 3–7 business days to appear.

Warning

The Cancel Order button disappears the moment the shop confirms your order (status changes to Shop Confirmed). After that point, you cannot cancel from the app — contact the shop directly or use Report a Problem on the order detail screen.

Note

Cash on delivery orders that are cancelled before shop confirmation require no refund action since no payment was collected.

Common questions

Q: I don't see a Cancel Order button — why?

A: The shop has already confirmed your order (status is Shop Confirmed or later). Cancellation through the app is no longer possible at that stage. Tap Report a Problem on the order detail screen to reach support.

Q: How long will my refund take?

A: Refunds to a card or mobile money account (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, etc.) typically take 3–7 business days depending on your bank or mobile money provider.
