Creating and Managing Auctions
How to create an auction on Vyete, schedule it, and confirm payment once it ends.
Auctions let you sell a limited offering, an exclusive product, collection, or experience, to the highest bidder.
Steps
Start a new auction
Go to Auctions and tap New Auction.
Set up the listing
Choose the offering being auctioned, then set your starting bid and currency. Minimum bid increment, reserve price, and buy-now price are all optional.
Set the schedule
Set a start time and end time. You can also adjust the payment window (how long the winner has to pay, 24 hours by default), the anti-snipe window, and how many times the auction can extend if bids come in near the end.
Create it
Tap Create Auction. The auction starts as a Draft, it isn't visible to bidders yet.
Schedule it to go live
From the auction's detail page, tap Schedule Auction to activate it for its set start time. You can also Cancel Auction while it's still a Draft.
Handle the outcome
If the auction ends without meeting your reserve price, it enters a reserve window, tap Accept Reserve Price to accept the highest bid anyway, or let it expire. If it ends normally, it moves to Awaiting Payment.
Confirm payment
Once the winner pays you directly, tap Confirm Payment Received to close the sale.
Note
Vyete doesn't process auction payment. The buyer pays you directly once they win, and you confirm receipt yourself. If the winner doesn't pay within the payment window, the offer cascades to the next highest bidder automatically.
Common questions
Q: Can I edit an auction after it's live?
A: Significant changes generally aren't possible once bidding is open, plan the listing details, reserve, and schedule before activating it.
Q: What happens if the winning bidder never pays?
A: The auction moves to Forfeited and the offer cascades to the next highest bidder in order, within their own payment window.
Q: Do I have to set a reserve price?
A: No, it's optional. Without one, the highest bid at close wins outright, no reserve window needed.
