Going Online to Receive Delivery Jobs

Carrier2 min

How to go online as a Vyete courier and start receiving delivery jobs on the Ferry app.

Once your courier account is verified, you can go online to start receiving delivery jobs. Going online activates GPS tracking and makes you visible to the job dispatch system. Jobs near your H3 geo zone appear on the map and in your Jobs tab.

Steps

Open the Ferry app

Open the Vyete Ferry PWA on your device. You'll land on the home screen showing the map and your online/offline status.

Tap the Go Online toggle

Tap the Go Online toggle button on the home screen. A prompt will appear asking you to grant GPS location permission if you haven't done so already. Tap Allow to give the app access to your device location.

Wait for jobs to appear

Once online, your location is reported to the dispatch system. Delivery jobs within your H3 geo zone and its neighbouring zones (roughly 7–10 km radius) will appear as job cards on your map and in the Jobs tab. Each job card shows the shop name, shop address, customer area (not the exact customer address), estimated distance, and estimated earnings.

Go Offline when you're done

When you want to stop receiving jobs, tap the Go Offline button. You can go offline at any time when you don't have an active delivery.

Warning

If you attempt to go offline while you have an active delivery in progress, a warning will appear reminding you that you must complete the current delivery first. You cannot fully go offline with a delivery in the ACCEPTED through IN_TRANSIT states.

Tip

Going online during peak hours increases your earning potential — the base pay and distance bonuses are higher during configured peak periods. Check the Earnings tab to see current peak hour windows in your zone.

Common questions

Q: Why am I online but not seeing any jobs?

A: Jobs are only dispatched when shops in your area have orders ready for collection. If there are no active orders nearby, your map will be empty. Try shifting to a busier area closer to a shop cluster.

Q: The app keeps going offline on its own — why?

A: The app requires an active GPS signal and mobile data connection to stay online. A poor signal can cause the app to drop offline. Check your device's location settings and ensure the Ferry app has background location permission.
